Lines you wish you could erase? Wrinkles that need smoothing out? Always think “combination”, different treatments can be tailored specifically for your needs.

By stopping the repeated muscle contractions that contribute to wrinkles, Botox, Dysport and Xeomin can be used to help break line-forming habits such as frowning or squinting and improve visible wrinkles.

Loss of volume in the tissue below the skin (not years of smiling) is largely the cause of deep wrinkles. Fillers can help plump them up. Injectable fillers can plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases and wrinkles, or improve the appearance of recessed scars. y

Today’s advanced laser procedures include everything from treatments that penetrate deep within the skin’s surface to lasers that can remove the top layers of skin to energy-based skin tighteners that rejuvenate a specific area-like around the eyes, lips or the entire face-for a younger-looking appearance.

A non ablative photorejuvenation treatment (Sciton Broadband Light) that uses multiple wavelengths of light to address fine to moderate lines and wrinkles. Series of gentle laser treatments that stimulate new collagen, smooth fine wrinkles and diminish the appearance of age spots, broken capillaries and rosacea.

Light-based Laser Treatment (Omnilux LED) These gentle laser treatments use light to treat common skin care issues such as age spots, wrinkles and skin discoloration. Light therapy produces a powerful therapeutic healing effect on living skin tissue.

Wrinkles can be defined as lines that are visible even when your face is totally relaxed. For prevention and a slight correction of these etched-in creases, apply sunscreen in the morning and a prescription retinoid (an effective line-smoother) at night. The combination will improve the texture of the skin over several months.

By stopping the repeated muscle contractions that contribute to wrinkles, Botox, Dysport and Xeomin can be used to help break line-forming habits such as frowning or squinting and improve visible wrinkles. These minimally invasive procedures designed to reduce or eliminate the appearance of frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, necklines, lines around the mouth. This treatment involves injecting of small amount of medicine able to decrease facial muscles’ activity thus reducing the associated lines and wrinkles into specific areas to temporarily smooth lines, wrinkles and furrows caused by excessive facial movements. wrinkle treatment

Areas that can be treated include but not limited to:

  • Glabella /frown lines (area between the eyebrows)
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • “Bunny lines” (wrinkles on top of your nose)
  • “Crow’s feet” (lines and wrinkles around your eyes)
  • Peri-oral lines (lines and wrinkles around the mouth)
  • Neck bands
  • Chin
  • Jaw line (for jaw line narrowing or reduction)
  • Upper Lip (for gummy smile reduction or correction)

Deep wrinkles are caused in large part by a loss of volume in the tissue below the skin, which only injections of filler substances can restore. If you’re open to fillers, consider either Radiesse, Juvederm, Belotero or Sculptra. Radiesse is made of calcium-based beads that form a structure under the skin around which new collagen forms; it lasts up to 18 months. Sculptra is a form of synthetic lactic acid that triggers skin cells to make more collagen, and can last two years or a little more. Hyaluronic acid fillers (like Restylane, Juvéderm, Belotero and Perlane) can also plump up deeper folds, and results last between six to twelve months. They’re the best choice for deeper lines around the mouth. (Sculptra and Radiesse can create bumps in that area).

Light Chemical Peels. Skin peeling involves an application of a chemical solution to sun-damaged, unevenly pigmented and finely wrinkled facial areas. The procedure is meant to diminish imperfections by peeling away the skin’s top layers. Generally, the most superficial peels are those using alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), such as glycolic, lactic or fruit acid. Various concentrations of an AHA may be applied weekly or at longer intervals to obtain the best result.

Light-based laser treatments (LED). These gentle laser treatments use light to treat common skin problems such as age spots, wrinkles and skin discoloration. Light therapy produces a powerful therapeutic healing effect on living skin tissue. Red light is able to penetrate skin deeply without being invasive or abrasive to the skin tissue. It works by increasing blood circulation and lymphatic activity, stimulating healing. Blue light interacts with blemished skin, attacks acne-causing bacteria, makes the skin inhospitable for acne-causing bacteria and inhibiting the spread of acne.

To smooth more than just a few individual wrinkles, resurfacing lasers are suggested. A fractional lasers like Sciton Profractional involves about three days of downtime, and you need five to six treatments; If you’re over 50 and your lines are quite deep, we recommend an ablative (meaning the skin’s top layers are removed) resurfacing treatment, like Sciton Erbium laser resurfacing. One treatment gives patients in their 50s and 60s profound improvement of deep wrinkles. We can treat the whole face or certain areas. If the wrinkles are concentrated around the eyes or mouth we can spot-treat those areas. You’ll see the full results after about six months (the treatment works by causing collagen to rebuild, which takes some time) and they should last several years.
